Optimization

The scheduling is done with the help of an automatic optimization routine. Vacation and other leave can be entered into the planning period before optimization is done, to avoid those days and hours to be scheduled with working shifts. All personnel are tied individual availability schemes, and XLScheduler will take these availabilities into consideration together with parameters such as employees’ skills, shift restrictions and agreements. It is possible to schedule fixed personnel at first hand, and temporary personnel if fixed cannot fill the target.

User interface

XLScheduler is a very graphic WFM tool, where you as a user always have access to graphic illustrations of the data. This makes it possible to understand data quickly. E.g. it is very easy to see if your target is met or if there is a need for more shifts to meet the set service level. It is easy to filter down and see an overview of a certain skill or activity, to see how the schedule meets the target of that particular activity. Different work tasks are symbolized by different colours, which further improves the user interface.

Cyclic schedules

It is possible to use fixed cyclic schedules in XLScheduler. These can be used by themselves or in combination with optimized shifts. Weekends can for example be planned with cyclic schedules, and weekdays with optimized scheduling.
